Best Pizzerias in Goose Island

Pizza Portofino is one of my favorite spots in the city. The garlic bread and truffle pizza (request hot honey, trust me) are GAME CHANGER. I went with a few friends and we all agreed that they both redefined garlic bread and pizza (at least in Illinois) respectively. Great service and great vibes!

A Perfect Evening for Our Party of Ten We recently visited Lou Malnati’s for a family gathering of 10, and it was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome, accommodating our larger group with ease and efficiency. The service was impeccable. Our server was attentive, friendly, and always a step ahead, ensuring glasses were never empty and dishes arrived promptly. Managing a group of this size can be tricky, but the staff handled it seamlessly. Now, on to the food—simply delicious! Every dish was a hit across the table. From the appetizers to the desserts, the flavors were fresh and vibrant. The pizza was a standout, while the Lou Malnati’s salad left everyone raving. Even the kids in our group enjoyed their meals, which were thoughtfully tailored to their tastes. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it the perfect setting for our gathering. The spacious seating allowed everyone to converse comfortably, and the atmosphere struck just the right balance between lively and intimate. Overall, Lou Malnati’s exceeded our expectations. If you’re planning a group outing or a family dinner, this place is a must-visit. We can’t wait to return!

Excellent Pizza with a wide variety of choices. Service very attentive. And if someone in your group happens to have a gluten allergy, the gluten free crust here, I've been told by two people with long standing gluten allergies, is the best gluten free crust they have ever tasted. And summer outdoor seating along the inlet is a real treat. Numerous significant pluses and absolutely no down sides to dining at this restaurant. Enjoy!!

The pizza and breadsticks were so good! I loved the vibe. The Christmas decor was beautiful! I wish I lived closer.

We had to wait 20 minutes past our reservation to be seated, but the restaurant wasn't even full. The sauce on our deep dish pizza was cold and the deep dish cookie was very thin- the dessert was basically ice cream. Overall just an okay experience.
