- NNickYorkshire •1 review5.0Dined 6 days agoWe're so lucky to have The Old Black Bull as our local Always great food and Amazing service. Kevin and his team make everyone very welcome whether you are a local or just visiting the area. The Hawkstone cider is very moreish (my usual drink). The wine choice is I think hand picked by Kevin and shows by its qualityMore infoThe Old Black BullPrice: Expensive• Gastro Pub• Husthwaite•5

- MMikeNewcastle and Northumberland •5 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 25, 2024I had Christmas lunch (on my own). I had my choice of gluten free prawn cocktail starter, steak and chips with vegetables and a gluten free chocolate brownie dessert. Everything was delicious and perfect in every way possible. The chef cooked the steak exactly right. Service was great (no fuss) and the atmosphere for the day was great too - yes a few noisy children, but it was Christmas Day and actually it was quite nice having families! I have eaten in top restaurants around the world and I know my food and wine, and on balance (whilst not Michelin star - I wouldn’t’ve gone if it was) this was really very enjoyable. I had a lovely lunch and will go again. I went for a short walk along the river afterwards and it was just so pleasant. Thank you everyone so much.More infoHavelock ArmsPrice: Moderate• Pub• Washington•4.2
