- EElizabethNew York City •4 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoFirst time experience on a busy Valentines holiday and we will be back! Ordered the Wagyu Filet. I have had several good meals in my lifetime but this steak was the best I’ve ever had. Service was excellent. Can’t recommend enough. Thanks S&W!More infoSmith & Wollensky Steakhouse - ChicagoPrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• River North (Chicago)•4.6
- DDianaChicago / Illinois •2 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe had a phenomenal experience. The restaurant was tastefully decorated and the food was excellent (we got oysters, lamb, salmon, creme brulee, and chocolate truffle cake and they were all great). But the service in particular was above and beyond. We live outside the city and got stuck in traffic on the way in so we were like 45 minutes later than we meant to be. We walked in at 4:10 and let them know we had a show at 5:00 down the street. Our server, Jeff, really took this to heart and got us our dishes at lightning speed. We had three courses and were still out by 4:45, making our show in plenty of time! I was stressed but he really took care of us, so overall definitely a 5 star visit!More infoMcCormick & Schmick's Seafood - Chicago (Wacker Dr.)Price: Moderate• Seafood• Downtown / Loop•4.4

Additionally, when we walked in, it appeared as though the hosts weren’t enforcing the dress code and we saw many people in hoodies and T-shirt’s. Not proper clothing for a place that charges over $100 per person for a meal.More infoMorton's The Steakhouse - Chicago - Wacker PlacePrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Downtown / Loop•4.6

Valentine’s Day is one of the most chaotic nights in the restaurant world, but the service at Shaw’s was absolutely flawless. A special shoutout to our server, Manny, who struck the perfect balance between being attentive and giving us space to enjoy our evening. The food and coursing were, as always, immaculate, and the crème brûlée paired with an espresso martini was the perfect way to end our meal. Thank you again, Manny, and the entire Shaw’s team for such a memorable experience!More infoShaw's Crab House & Oyster Bar - ChicagoPrice: Very Expensive• Seafood• River North (Chicago)•4.8

We celebrated my husband's birthday and enjoyed everything from the icy-cold martinis to the appetizers to the two entrees we ordered - one seafood, one steak. Only downside to the experience was that the lovely downtown view was marred by the sight of Rump Tower, but they gladly changed tables for us when we let them know that the very sight of that name tends to make us sick to our stomachs. Thank you for making a special evening. We'll be back - and again ask for a table where we don't have to see that horrid sign.More infoOcean Prime - ChicagoPrice: Very Expensive• Seafood• Downtown / Loop•4.7
