- AAndreaWashington, D.C. Area •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoMy sister and I had an amazing Thanksgiving experience here. We ordered the Filet and Tail and we could not have been any happier. Victor took great care of us and ensured we had all that we needed and more. He was kind, attentive, and recommended items to us to try. My steak was cooked perfectly along with my lobster tail, but the Rockefeller Oysters stole the show. The ambiance was decadent, much like the delicious sweet potato pecan pie. I enjoyed the seasonal gin and tonic, while my sister delighted over the Bourbon Smash---the bartender did not disappoint. I did not catch her name, but we chatted for a few about various gins and bourbons. Although this was a busy day for the staff, they handled it with grace and the kitchen staff--- I mean, they really showed out. Not a dirty plate to be noted, portion sizes were consistent with the price, and special care and attention to plating was noticed. I will certainly return! If you get the chance, ask for Victor. - MMarthaWashington, D.C. Area •5 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoThis was our first time celebrating Thanksgiving at a restaurant and it was wonderful. J. Gilbert’s is our place for special occasions, so it was our choice for this holiday. The menu was very traditional, which is what we wanted, and there was no skimping on portions. Of course, it didn’t compare to what we make at home, but the trade-off was that we avoided all that work and clean up just for the two of us. Happily, we will have turkey sandwiches for a couple of days - our favorite part of Thanksgiving. Our waiter was very personable and gave us just the right amount of attention. The ambiance was perfect and the noise level was low. It was such a lovely evening!More infoJ. Gilbert’s – Wood Fired Steaks & Seafood - McLeanPrice: Expensive• Steak• McLean•4.5

- TTimvipDallas - Fort Worth •1 review5.0Dined 5 days agoFrom the moment we sat down, Tek (our server) made this an unforgettable evening in the best possible ways. The food was spectacular. I had the sole - which, having had an office in Paris for many years, I rarely dare to order in the US. It was amazing! My wife had the most delectable scallops plus stuffed shrimp. We were celebrating our anniversary, they made this one of the best celebrations ever! Samara (the manager) stopped by as well to express her gratitude. What an amazing evening!!!More infoEddie V's - Tysons CornerPrice: Very Expensive• Seafood• Tysons Corner / McLean•4.8
