Best Seafood Restaurants in South Plainfield

My first time there. In a word: OUTSTANDING! A bit pricey, but well worth it. Good food and ample portions. Our waiter, Trevor was outstanding as well. He was courteous, helpful and very engaging.

Met a good friend for a belated holiday luncheon. Our reservation was awaiting us with a nice table by the window. The drinks were tasty and celebratory. We ordered a Caesar salad with grilled shrimp and the pork chop that is on the regular menu. Both were delicious. The pork chop was tasty and tender. We had the lava cake and the fig gelato for dessert. Both were nice desserts for the end of our meal. The service was excellent, and we will be back.

This was our first Valentine’s Day dinner there and we loved it. We will be back for sure and our waitress was great and all the staff.

Red Lobster South Plainfield, NJ is a good choice! We ordered two very good meals, the Seafarer's Feast and the Mariner's Feast (both in the $30.00 price range.) One platter was Fried Shrimp, grilled Maine Lobster tail, Garlic Shrimp, and a skewer of 4 fantastic scallops. The other was Fried Shrimp, the skewer of scallops, and Salmon topped with Langostino sauce. Each came with a choice of two sides and the Cheddar Bay biscuits. Our choices were garden salad and mashed potatoes. Everything was very good! Our waiter was new but very concerned about doing a good job; he checked with us several times, and I also heard him asking another customer if his cocktail had come out the way he requested. That customer was also very satisfied and joked with the server. Another server who recognized us (I was surprised by that), came over just to ask how our grandchildren were doing because she remembered their photos from a previous visit. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The only real drawback to most of the Red Lobster chain is the somewhat dated decor. I can live with that.
