- WWilliamVIPPhiladelphia County •334 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoThis was our first time at lock bar and overall it was very good. We did not know being Christmas Eve of the kitchen was closing early which we were not thrilled about because we had a later dinner reservation and it forced us to order before we wanted to. The server also had a few miscues on the timing of things sending out the food too early but they rectified it and it was all okay. We both have the cream of crab soup which was very very good. I have the crab cake and the server said it was considered some of the best in the city and I would agree with that it was all pure crab meat no filler.More infoLoch Bar - PhiladelphiaPrice: Expensive• Seafood• Center City•4.5
- LLadydiane730Philadelphia County •20 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoLa Viola just hits the spot and the BYOB is a bonus. This is our 2nd year going for Christmas Eve. Reservations recommended- there are only about 10 tables. Bread and dipping oil immediately graces the table. Two of us ordered one of the nights specials. Never felt rushed. Comfortable go to spot that really is just a perfect dinner out.More infoLa Viola - WestPrice: Moderate• Italian• Rittenhouse Square•4.6

- RRobertSan Francisco Bay Area •1 review5.0Dined on Dec 18, 2024The food is great but this review is pointless, as Devon Seafood Grill will be closing in a few weeks. The opening was a toasty lobster & crab salad roll sandwich, followed by the mixed seafood grill: shrimp, scallops, salmon, crab cake & grilled asparagus. All was seasoned & cooked to perfection. The side dish, king crab fried rice was a letdown. It was over-salted and tasted much strongly of bacon than crab. Surprise: the champagne was half-price (going out of business sale?) and the final coffee was freshly brewed & excellent. Bottom line: Typically expensive for Center City Philly, but the food was first-rate and the ambience was elegant but relaxing. I'm disappointed my first visit to DSG will also be my last. So I guess if you can get there in the next -2weeks, I say "treat yourself." Otherwise, hope the next restaurant to fill the space serves food of similar quality.More infoDevon Seafood Grill - PhiladelphiaPrice: Expensive• Seafood• Rittenhouse Square•4.4
