Best Southern American Restaurants in Anderson

Came for my wife's birthday on Saturday and it was fantastic. Server was the upmost respectable and attentive. Would give it 10 Stars if possible. love the family atmosphere and booth/table style seating.

This was our first time at Madison’s. We read about this beautiful and recognized restaurant in Open Table. Since we had planned a trip to Franklin NC, we added Madison’s to our itinerary and we were not disappointed. In is a beautiful place on Main Street in Highlands, NC. The decor and atmosphere was elegant, and the food was fantastic. We highly recommend Madison’s if you are anywhere near Highlands.

Fried flounder feature was delicious! Southern style orzo was creamy and was also very good. The pinecone dessert was amazing and looked incredible.

This place never disappoints. If you’re looking for southern comfort food done right this is the place. We visit every time we come to Greenville. The sassafras chicken is one of our favorites. Shrimp and grits, salmon, steaks are all very good. Side dish choices are perfect accompaniments. The service and hospitality are spot on. Great daily specials. Very welcoming place.
