Best Southern American Restaurants in Chapel Hill

Great experience! Our server was prompt, the food was delicious, & great atmosphere for watching the game!

Good meal. Three of us had the She-crab soup which was excellent. Two of my sons had burgers, one with blue cheese and one with pimento cheese. They both said they were very good. My other son had salmon with a bourbon glaze which he raved about. My wife enjoyed her Mountain Trout. I had the catfish which was good. The mustard creole sauce wasn’t too exciting and the Cole slaw serving was a little small, but very good. All in all I would say this was a much better meal than the previous two times that we have been here which were meals that were okay but kind of bland.

I had the Fish soup. It was okay. I’ve had better food there. Hot tea was warm at best. It’s always a beautiful place to eat. The menu has good options for lots of diets. We’ll go back, but not for the fish soup.

As always, the service that staff provide is above and beyond. I love to bring colleagues from abroad to experience this high quality, upscale spin on southern food. It really sets a high bar! Of course, we came in like a storm and too many people followed us from the office, and the staff (especially Olivia W) handled it with grace, kindness, and humor. The food is ALWAYS amazing. The presentation of the plates, the quality of ingredients, and the environment just make for an overall wonderful experience. I cannot recommend enough!
