- RRhondaSan Antonio •3 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoPoor Calvin’s was a wonderful Christmas gift from our daughter and son-in-law! The ambience was warm and cozy which was perfect for a chilly January night. The staff was super friendly and helpful. JoJo was our server and did so impeccably! He gave us the background of the restaurant and Chef Calvin, a detailed explanation of the menu and recommended specials. The food was very tasty and perfect comfort food for a cold evening. We ended the meal by sharing the pound cake which was toasted on the outside while moist on the inside, covered with a delicious bananas foster and topped with strawberry ice cream. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!More infoPoor Calvin'sPrice: Expensive• Fusion / Eclectic• Downtown•4.9
- CCarolAtlanta Metro •1 review5.0Dined 7 days agoMy husband and I had a great time for my birthday. The appetizer (bacon wrapped shrimp) and the entrees, (Jambalaya Pasta, Stewed Oxtails) were amazing. Our server Sam took real good care of us and helped us make our food selections. The live music was good but the people dancing made it much more enjoyable. I gave the food 4 stars only because the dessert was not good at all. Hubby had Banana Pudding, I had the Peach Cobbler. Not sure if it was just an off night or if they just aren’t good. Other than that, totally worth the experience. We will be back.More infoSweet Georgia's Juke JointPrice: Moderate• Regional American (Southern)• Downtown•4.4

- OTOpenTable DinerAtlanta Metro •1 review4.0Dined on Dec 21, 2024Overall experience was good. We were seated quickly & greeted quickly. The music selections—hip hip & r&b—were on point & the music wasn’t so loud you couldn’t hear yourself think. My food was yummy (I had the seafood omelet), but friend’s food seemed as if it could have been seasoned better & perhaps a bit warmer. The hostess (Zeta) did an excellent job of “managing 1st impressions” & our server was friendly & relatively attentive, for the most part.More infoSuite Food LoungePrice: Moderate• American• Downtown•4.6
