Best Southern American Restaurants in Lockport

Awesome vibes. Waitress was amazing and very attentive, music was vibe, food was hella good and also a great price. MIMOSA flight was amazing definitely more champagne than juice which I can really appreciate. Only downside bathroom wasn’t clean. Overall I will be returning.

Dawn is a nice quaint spot in Hyde Park. A definite gem. This is a very laidback place to have a nice meal. Service is also very laidback. I will come back.

I've been to Virtue a number of times and I always have a good experience. This time, the appetizers were a miss, but the mains were a hit. For appetizers, we had the chicken gizzard which were cold and the sauce was greasy and just not good. We also had the fried green tomatoes, which were ok, they just lacked season. However, the pork steak which is relatively new was amazing. The fish and grits, mac and cheese and greens were amazing. And, the Cornbread as per usual was to die for.

My first time dining at Nafsi, I had high hopes, and my dining party was pleasantly surprised. The ambiance was casual yet elegant, with a touch of charm from the hanging flowers from the ceiling. I opted for the catfish with grits and honey-roasted carrots. The catfish was fried to perfection and seasoned well, almost calling for hot sauce, but the included sauce complemented the fish perfectly—delicious! The grits were equally tasty. However, I must mention that the honey-roasted carrots were a bit too crunchy for my liking, and I couldn’t detect any honey. The other ladies in my party enjoyed their choices, which included grilled catfish and salmon. To complete our meal, we ordered a side of greens, which turned out to be incredibly delicious. 😋 I didn’t choose a drink, opting instead for water. Perhaps next time, I’ll try the Margarita. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Nafsi and will definitely be returning.

My friend and I went for a 4 course dinner narrated by an amazing author sharing stories about his time at the White House. You can tell there was a lot of care taken in each element of our meal. Definitely would recommend.
