Fondée en 1983, l'exploitation viticole Chamard Vineyards est l'une des premières à avoir proposé des circuits œnologiques dans le Connecticut. Situé entre le détroit de Long Island et le fleuve Connecticut, le Chamard bénéficie d'un microclimat marin unique idéal pour la culture de cépages européens tels que le Chardonnay, le Riesling, le Gewürztraminer, le Cabernet Sauvignon, le Cabernet Franc, le Merlot et le Pinot Noir, lui permettant de produire d'excellents vins d'inspiration française sur la côte du Connecticut. Pour accompagner ses vins, la ferme du Chamard travaille en partenariat avec les cultivateurs et producteurs de la région pour proposer une cuisine gastronomique mettant à l'honneur l'agriculture locale.
The Griswold Inn is an inn and restaurant located in the historic seaport village of Essex. The Gris, as it is affectionately known, has been in continous operation since 1776.`Currently we are offering dine in, dine out, and Gris To Go! Inside, guests may enjoy dining in historic, art-filled rooms which exude character, charm and tradition. Seating for the alfresco experience is available on a first-come, first-served basis, with the exception of larger parties of 7 or more which may be made by calling 860.767.1776.
