Best Southern American Restaurants in Spartanburg

This place is always phenomenal!! We've been here on multiple occasions and have never had a bad experience. Our server (Shelby) was very polite to us and knowledgeable about the menu. Chef (Erica) made rounds to check the quality and accuracy of the food. She really knows her stuff! The food was, as always, SUPERB!

My husband and I decided to share a few small plates and sides for dinner. We were actually intrigued more by those on the menu rather than the entree selection. Rosemary Beignets were incredible. We also enjoyed the lamb kabobs, potstickers and Brussel sprouts. We ordered the tuna tartare as well and that is always something we enjoy however out of everything we ordered, that was our least favorite. Just not enough flavor. Beverages and service were wonderful as well. We will return and would choose to order small plates and share again.

Great service with a waitress that always came to check on us multiple times throughout our meal without being overbearing or cutting into conversation. Food was very warm when served and seemed fresh. For the price I’ve had better chicken and better ribeye at other places but overall atmosphere and the wide selection of drinks and whiskeys makes up for it. Overall nice place and would eat there again but only on some sort of special occasion.

Our server Cary was helpful, professional and friendly in selecting both food and beverages. The beet burrata salad was outstanding. The pheasant special was delicious and included wonderful vegetables. We shared a crab cake which was light and somewhat creamy in texture. Excellent choice. My husband's osso buco tasted delicious but was slightly tough, hence the four star food rating. Cary's suggestion for a pinot noir was an ideal accompaniment for our meal. Will definitely return next time we're in Greenville.

After receiving a gift card from our kids we went to Sassafras last night, for dinner, and it did not disappoint!! My husband had the ribeye and said it was the best steak he ever had. I had the stuffed fried chicken with brussel spouts, it was delicious!! Our server,Taylor was exceptional!! Checked in with us several times to make sure we were good with everything. Management also checked up on our dining experience. Great atmosphere, great staff, would definitely give it 5 stars! We will be back.
