Best Southern American Restaurants in Petersburg

We celebrate milestones at Lemaire - our anniversary and my wife's birthday. The experience tonight was everything we've come to expect - outstanding from start to finish. From the reservation with Bella to Travis's attention to detail it was a grand experience. Thanks to all of your dedicated staff for all they do!

First we had a drink in the beautiful, cozy bar. That was a very nice space. For dinner, our service was very good. The green tomato starter was good, followed by salmon, also good. The renovation work is incredible. So well done! The lights in the restaurant are glaring and way too bright. Perhaps consider dimmers? Because of the lighting, the ambiance was lack luster. Consider background music, candle on the table, perhaps a simple bloom in a vase. All in all, we enjoyed our evening and look forward to returning with a more extensive menu.

I have visited the Stony Point location twice recently and I love this restaurant. There is a warm inviting feeling when you walk in the door. The decor is beautiful and the service was excellent. The food was delicious with plentiful portions. It has an awesome vibe and you’ll love the festive holiday decorations. Nice private space available too.

Private Party event in the lobby, made it very crowded and loud. The inside of the restaurant was quieter. Service was good, a little slow with the dinner rush and crowd. But very friendly. Lobster roll was delish, lots of lobster meat. However lost points for the butternut squash fettuccine. It was bland, no taste, dry, not enough sauce for the noodles. Do not recommend. We loved the crab dip for appetizer and the lobster roll. Ambiance was full of holiday magic!

The hostess took great care in making sure we got the table we wanted. The food was amazing. We cleaned our plates 😁
