This was a very enjoyable dining experience. My only disappointment was that there were not more gluten-free menu items. There is no notation on the menu for gluten, dairy, soy, or nut products. There is only a notation for vegetarian. I was unable to predict what I would be able to eat at this restaurant. Unfortunately, there were only two items I could choose from. The entrée I chose was the vegan version of Lentejas con Chorizo (without the chorizo which was not gluten free). Fortunately it was delicious!

The two of us had a great experience at La Barra. All the tapas were amazing, with great flavors and incredible presentations. The server was attentive and helpful in making choices. There was a nice balance between classic and creative options (We particularly loved the gaspacho). The restaurant was located in the middle of the Mercado, so you could see all the activity with a degree of separation. Amazingly the noise level was very moderate, and it was possible to carry on a conversation. Overall it was a wonderful evening, and we will definitely be back.

The most spectacular experience that you could have outside of Spain is at this restaurant. I know I am in the restaurant business and I own my own restaurant and I bought people from out of town three times already and it is nothing but five star thank you to the crew the chef, the managers, the waiters, the bus boys, like I said five star
