- SSiobhanVIPNew York City •10 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoSimply put - best meal in Puerto Rico we had. The Cesar salad was so different- yet so perfect - the crispy chic peas is what croutons should be jealous over, the beef tartar which I’m guessing was with quinoa was the best we ever had- the surprise dinner rolls were buttery but with a hint of salt matched with a basil garlic butter- never knew I needed it. The filets were cooked to perfection- truffle fries were crispy and flavored but oddly enough the star of the show was the chicken!!! Perfectly cooked- amazingly juicy and flavorful- I don’t think I’ve ever had or will ever have a better piece of chicken in my life. We were hesitant to book this place as it was fancier and not as authentic as some of our other choices- but this- by far was the best meal in PR and maybe one of our favorites ever. Top it off with fantastic service- hard earned money well spentMore infoLa Central by Mario PaganPrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• San Juan•4.6
- DDevinCaribbean •2 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoFirst time in San Juan, we were looking for a great place to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday and STK exceeded expectations. Luis Lamboy and Maria were both excellent and knowledgeable of the menu; both had fantastic recommendations. Our appetizer, the fried octopus, was a first for me and we absolutely loved it. The burrata was another hit; the basil and the tomatoes were so fresh and the flavors all blended together beautifully. For our entree, per Luis’s recommendation, we shared the 28oz porterhouse steak with parmesan encrusted mashed potatoes and lobster mac n cheese on the side. Once again, zero disappointments. The lobster tail served with the mac n cheese was juicy and flavorful, the mashed potatoes were perfectly seasoned and the parmesan crust provided a layered texture and a nice crisp, and the porterhouse steak was cooked to a perfect medium-rare with a perfect crust as well, which I believe is very important when preparing a steak. For dessert my girlfriend picked out the choco coco, which consisted of a chocolate brownie, coconut ice cream, caramel pearls and topped with caramel popcorn. The dish offered a beautiful blend of sweet and salty, decadent and fun. The sparkler it was served with was a nice surprise for the occasion. Overall, as two people who also come from a service industry/fine dining background, we admit it can be difficult to wow us but STK was an incredible experience with delicious food, great service, and good vibes.More infoSTK San JuanPrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Condado•4.5
- JJayGreater Boston •2 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoFood was excellent! I was confused as to who our server was. Anyone I flagged down was helpful but it was confusing. We were seated near the kitchen entrance so it was a little loud. However, we were first in line when meat was served so it evened out. I’d definite go there againMore infoFogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse - San JuanPrice: Expensive• Brazilian Steakhouse• San Juan•4.3
