Best Steak Restaurants in Manitou Springs

The Pepper Tree is a total culinary experience. As you arrive the attention to detail is very welcoming. As you are seated you are greeted and offered a huge menu of cocktails, traditional as well as specialty drinks. Bread service and choices of appetizers are offered, we started with the French onion soup, escargot, and the crab cakes all tasty and shareable. Our mains included the steak Diane, the salmon and ribeye which was a special of the day. The filets are prepared table service and not only were they tender and delicious but the table service was a great treat for us. We finished the evening with both the chocolate cake and the bread pudding, amazingly delicious and a great end to our fabulous dinner.

My husband and I came for a birthday lunch and got a a window side table, which was perfect as the weather was fantastic. The food is always excellent, and they are able to accommodate all of my food, allergies and requests for additional changes that we had for our meal. This is our most favorite restaurant in the spring for special events and looking forward to our next lunch !

Had a wonderful lunch date with my two friends. We did not feel rushed, the food was great, and we had made reservations for noon, the restaurant was not at all busy until around 1:30pm. It was a holiday, President's Day, but they still let us order off the lunch menu.

We have been eating at the La Taverne for over ten years. It is our go to place for special occasions. Only once was the food not up to par. Normally food and service are excellent. The tenderloin is my favorite. Very tender and great tasting.

Carlos was fabulous as always! The service and ambience were all perfect. The food was delectable, and the drinks were amazing. If you haven’t been, you should absolutely go! :)
