Best Steak Restaurants in Portage Park

Food was absolutely delicious, fresh and exciting to try. Surprised my boyfriend for dinner here because he enjoys a hanger steak, which is a hard cut to find. He said it was one of the best he’s ever had, they cooked it to his liking, and it was perfect. Drinks were outstanding, service was excellent, very romantic and sexy atmosphere. There was a table that was extremely loud behind us, luckily they left shortly after we got there though. Other than that, everything was phenomenal! Don was our server, he was also delightful! Will be returning!

I was looking for a nice spot to get food and drinks before a show at the Chicago theater and I stumbled upon P&P. They had an incredible happy hour menu and they did not disappoint! I had fresh oysters to start, it was chef’s choice and I don’t recall what kind I was served but they were huge, fresh and oh so tasty! I loved the accompaniments that came with the oysters as well. The service was top notch, Maddie was super knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations. I ended up ordering solely off the happy hour menu, so I got lobster rolls and dirty martinis. Both were delish, I just wish I had enough time to try a dessert! I’m definitely coming back for happy hour and to try more apps & drinks.

The ambiance was perfect—elegant yet relaxed, with soft lighting and tasteful decor that made us feel both comfortable and special. Now, let’s talk about the steaks. Simply put, it was one of the best we ever had. Cooked to perfection, the exterior had a beautiful sear, while the inside was juicy and tender, just as we ordered. The flavors were rich, and the seasoning was spot on, enhancing the natural taste of the meat without overpowering it. Paired with a side of asparagus, mashed potatoes, and a glass of full-bodied red wine, it was a meal that left us savoring every bite. Throughout the meal, the service was impeccable. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that every detail was taken care of. If you're looking for a place that offers both exceptional food and outstanding service, Artango is a must-visit. We can't wait to return for another incredible meal.

This place is now on my top 10 favorite restaurants in the Chicago area. From the appetizers to the lamb & carrot puree to the dessert, I enjoyed every bite. The owner needs to hurry up and move the restaurant to the city.
