Best Steakhouses in Barrington

This was our first time at this restaurant and it did not disappoint. Tom our server was very attentive and walked us through the history of the restaurant name as well as the menu. The chargrilled Blue Point Oysters were amazing. Would recommend that they include the fact the onions in this dish are cooked with red wine though. My wife is allergic and fortunately did not have a severe reaction and was able to manage it. Other than this small hiccup the food was amazing and we had a wonderful time.

Yesterday I wrote a negative review about an experience at Perry's in Oakbrook, but today it's a glowing positive review about the Vernon Hills location, where we dined last night with friends. This might be the first time I've ever gone to the same restaurant (but two different locations) on back to back nights, and it is amazing how the dinners were so different. The Vernon Hills location was busy upon our arrival, and totally packed by the time we left. The ambience and service were far superior to the Oakbrook experience. I had the pork chop and it was beyond amazing...way more than I could eat in one serving, and even though I shared it with others at the table, I still had a full meal left to take home. Our server was spectacular, helpful and knowledgable, personable, and had the knack for being there when we wanted/needed him, but other than that he was off working with other tables. I Considering all the positive reviews I've heard about Perry's, I'd be willing to chalk up the poor experience in Oakbrook as possibly just an off night during the Christmas rush season, but the Vernon Hills manager deserves a gold star for excellence, because the place was absolutely packed and the service team was well choreographed. My only complaint about the Vernon Hills location is the tiny parking lot...nowhere near big enough (aren't there zoning requirements for parking?). We had to park across the street on top of a large hill, and when the weather turned (as it inevitably will), it's going to be dangerous to make the trek from the parking lot.

Fantastic time today. Treated my cousin and a close friend to lunch today. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was very high energy, it was my friend’s first time being at Perry’s so of course she ordered the Pork Chop. She thoroughly enjoyed it. My cousin had a strip steak and I had the filet mignon. We had the wedge salad , warm spinach salad, sherry mushrooms and loaded mashed potatoes.Everything was delicious. I always have a great dining experience at Perry’s Oakbrook.

The restaurant and bar were packed! Plus there was another private event going on. I love the decor, the food is SO good. Every wait staff person who came to our table was patient, kind, knowledgeable about menu. We didn’t have just on waiter - at least 4! It was very hard to talk/hear - noise level was high. We enjoyed our meal very much!

Great ambience with exceptional food and service. It is always a great experience when dining at Morton’s!
