Best Steakhouses in Mountain View

Besides the food being the best around…prime rib truly melts in your mouth …the employees there are such great human beings! This was my mom's and my favorite restaurant. This was my first time dining without her. But instead of a sad night, my waiter, Ashely, and the staff went above and beyond for me when I came in on one of their busiest nights to honor my late mother and best friend. The compassion and kindness Ashely and her manager Peter showed me was unbelievable!! They are wonderful human beings and showed me that there are still wonderful people in the world.

We had a lovely annivarsary dinner. The menu included our names and noted our special day. And a waiter was very attentive on a very busy Christmas Eve.

She was so attentive, friendly and truly brought the joy and warmth of Christmas to us all. The food was so tasty, from the meatballs, the crab cakes, the lamb chops and dry aged ribeye. The cheesecake was delicious as well. It was all cooked to perfection and presented very well. The bottle of Meiomi paired well with the meats. It was truly a great experience. Very nice experience as always. Ossobuco special was delicious. Nice ambiance. A little piano music in the background added to the atmosphere.

Overall, excellent. Just a couple comments: First, the appetizers came out very quickly (a good thing TM) but they beat our initial drinks (wine and beer) by a good 10 minutes. Second, I ordered the filet mignon "medium" because I had been at a Las Vegas steakhouse recently where "medium rare" was barely warm meat. But here the steak came out cooked truly medium and on a very hot plate. So if you like medium rare, you can trust them to do it right, I think. No complaints about how they cooked my steak; just saying I was too conservative in how I ordered it. All food was excellent; service very attentive. It's a louder place but by the end, it had emptied out and quieted down. We were there 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. on a Thursday. If it wasn't quite so expensive, we'd go more often.
