Best Steakhouses in Old Town Alexandria

Ruths Chris never disappoints. Our girls night out was extra amazing due to the amazing meal and the outstanding service provided by James and Issa. Issa took over when James had to work a large party, but Issa picked up and made our evening meal there AH-mazing. The steaks were cooked perfectly, the sides and salads were delicious. I highly recommend this Ruth's Chris (in Arlington) for any occassion!

Yesterday, I had an amazing time at The Warehouse, reconnecting with friends I hadn’t seen in a while . The atmosphere and décor immediately stood out—iconic and deeply reflective of the DMV, while embracing the warmth of Southern culture. It felt like stepping into a true potluck gathering. The service was excellent; each server was assertive yet professional, ensuring everything was just right. I ordered a classic Sidecar cocktail, and it was perfectly made. Our table was filled with a variety of dishes—oysters, salad, brunch items, and creamy grits—all of which gave me a comforting sense of home. The Warehouse truly delivered an unforgettable experience.

The food was great but our service was poor, especially for fine dining. It took a very long time to get our drinks and he rarely came to check in. My steak was cooked medium instead of medium rare but was still good. He didn’t check in after it was placed to see if cooked properly. The table next to us sent all of their steaks back to be redone so not sure what was going on in the kitchen. We received our bill to pay at 8:04 PM, at 8:27 PM we were still waiting to pay. We attempted to get his attention several times but ended up flagging down the host to pay. The noise level was very high, hard to chat at the table. For the amount we paid, would definitely expect a better experience and service.

Lovely food as always! Our server was FANTASTIC! My only complaint is we were seated by the kitchen and it was hard to talk. But very minor issue... OAK was absolutely packed on Christmas Eve so I'm sure they did their best. We'll be back!

Great food, great service, atmosphere was lovely. Table design needs updating but overall great.
