Best Steakhouses in South Mountain

We quite honestly were stunned by the price of the grilled veal chop/shank special, $76!!! I guess it was our bad for not asking, but considering my husband had first ordered the linguini & clams for $29, but switched when our server shared "tonight's specials," I feel our server should have shared the price, especially since I had already declined David's recommendation for a $90 bottle of wine. We ended up choosing a less expensive $52 bottle of merlot. Sadly, your pricing blew our dining out budget for the month! I strongly suggest you train your waitstaff to share the prices for your specials! Having said that, the meal was very delicious!

My wife and I ate at a high top in the bar, we like the music and crowd. Her filet and my bone in ribeye were perfect, medium rare. My side of cream spinach was served lukewarm and I returned it. I didn’t have it replaced although they offered. There was a problem in getting our two glasses of wine before our meal, the food came out way too quickly even though we had requested a slow delivery of our meal. One of the managers came by and finally got our wines. My wife had finished her steak and I was half finished. By this time. A different server, Mike took over and things returned to a great experience, we received a free butter cake and credit for the two wines and Mike gave us two green tea shots on him after we had paid our bill. They messed up with communication but recovered beautifully. It turned out to be a great experience.

We always have our Christmas dinner at steak 44 It is an absolute treat! The food is sooo soo delicious and the service is top tier, hands down the best fine dining in Arizona. Tomas is the best server and is always knowledgeable, kind and attentive. I can never say enough good things about him or this restaurant. 10/10

The Food was delicious, a bit better than expected. The service was Great and constant. Only one small hiccup but nothing worth mentioning. The ambiance was nice and we actually interacted with a few neighboring tables. Of course I would suggest, as I always do, removing one table from each dinning room to allow for easier access to seating as well as better conditions for staff. Overall my family and myself had a wonderful experience at Dominic's and shall return..

Absolutely perfect. My boyfriend and I are visiting from California and I wanted to bring him somewhere memorable for his birthday…this place made the cut!! We love the ambiance of the sultry atmosphere but even greater than that was the thoughtful and expertly orchestrated plates. Our server was so wonderful also. She was extremely knowledgeable and offered amazing suggestions. Couldn’t be happier! Highly recommend!!
