    This place was lovely and romantic! The lights were very dim. (Romantic) The host and wait staff were amazing! Our server was Samuel. He is from West Africa and very charming. He knew everything about everything on the menu and took very good care of us. We had the char-broiled oysters, filet and the crawfish Mac and cheese. Oysters were awesome, the filet melted in our mouths and the Mac and cheese was like none I’ve ever tasted before. I would highly recommend this place!

    Celebrated my birthday there this weekend. We had an early reservation with a lot going on in the city and thought we’d be rushed so they could turn our large party to seat another bit we were not rushed at all! We had a 3 1/2 dinner, which was at our pace. The Sarah and Fernandez took excellent care of us and were accommodating and attentive. The steaks were delicious and cooked perfectly. Which is sometimes rare at the best local steakhouse. Thanks Ruth’s for a memorable birthday celebration.

    We have dined here several times in the past and decided to come last Christmas. We had such a great experience we decided to come back for Thanksgiving. Usually hesitate about going to a restaurant on a holiday but Chophouse did not disappoint. We love the atmosphere. Having the piano playing in the background has such an impact on the overall mood. The decor is warm and welcoming. The service and wait staff were extremely nice (with a smile) and the drinks and food were served in a timely fashion. The food was incredible. So delicious. We had the lump crabmeat for an appetizer (to die for), for an entree, we ordered the filet and sea bass. Both were cooked exactly how we expected. Love the fact it was a regular menu rather than a set one. We were not rushed at all even though the place was packed. It is one of our favorite restaurants now and we will continue to go back. Thanks, Chophouse, for once again making our holiday special!

    We had the most delicious dinner ever! The Hoo Dat shrimp were why we came, but we added the tuna stack appetizer and it was so good! The steak with marrow butter was indescribably delicious. I can’t wait to come back. BUT, the real kicker making our dinner fantastic was Brian our waiter! His suggestions were spot on. He was funny and attentive. Brian was ably assisted by Gina, who also did a great job. Hope to see Brian and eat some tasty food at Desi Vega’s next time we’re in town!
