Best Sushi Restaurants in Madison

We did the omakase and it was soooo worth the money! Everyone at Nobu was so pleasant. Christian was so attentive and gave us detailed explanations of the plates we devoured. The dessert was to die for!

This was our second time at Sushi By Bou, first time in Hoboken. (The first time was in Jersey City.) Each time we’ve gone was for our daughter’s birthday so it’s probably going to be annual ritual. My daughter loved it, loves the Omakase experience. She said the high quality ingredients, preparation, the sushi and overall experience were first rate. I’m personally not a sushi aficionado or a foodie critic, but I loved all of it. My one critique is the value. My daughter disagrees with me to a certain extent. I’m footing the bill so I’m viewing it from a different lens. It’s pretty pricey in my opinion although I understand that’s the going rate for omakase and similar experiences. For my purposes, I was willing to pay because my daughter loved it and her joy is priceless.

The professional and warm hostesses greet you with a smile, setting the tone for the evening. The ambiance of the restaurant is simply stunning. Our server, Cayley, was the epitome of attentiveness—knowledgeable about the menu and offered fantastic recommendations. Every staff member we encountered was not only professional but also genuinely kind and engaging, making us feel like VIPs. Managers Brian, Zack and Daniel were hands-on, checking in with guests to ensure everything was perfect. Now, let’s talk about the food. Each dish was a masterpiece, from the mouthwatering Grilled Shishito Peppers to the tender Filet Skewers and fresh Yellowfin Tuna. The warm ricotta donuts. They’re worth every calorie. If you’ve never been to Catch, it’s a must-visit. And if it’s been a while, it’s time to return for another stellar experience from start to finish!

The food was amazing! The music was a bit too loud for my preference but overall a great experience!
