Chakra explores the interplay between Thai and Indian culinary traditions that has produced a gastronomic symphony which delights the senses and reflects the historical connections between these two regions.Lesser known in the world of Thai cuisine are the dishes with direct Indian influence that began to emerge within the culture centuries ago. While Indian influence in Thailand began during the 3rd century B.C. with the arrival of Buddhism, the apex of culinary influence occurred starting in the late 13th century during the Sukhothai period. During that time the spice trade flourished and the Thai royal court hosted Indian expertise of multiple disciplines including the culinary arts. Our Thai curry dishes at Chakra are iterations on recipes that were developed during that time period hundreds of years ago. We invite you to enjoy the warm melody of spices our dishes offer, in our tranquil dining atmosphere featuring meditative music and warm, melo lighting.

The food was incredible . Umami for sure. The staff was also amazing. The woman who seated and served us was extremely helpful and attentive to everyone in the restaurant at once. She ran that room like a pro to say the least. It was New Year's day as well the place was packed on a holiday and the staff was taking care of a full restaurant and take-out orders that seemed non stop for the 90 minutes we were there. They earned and deserved the Michelin star. And I loved the sketches of the restaurant that were hung throughout the restaurant among the many old photos . Will definitely be back soon.
