Chef Sebby Holmes launched Farang back in 2016 after trading at street food markets throughout London. A year later he took up temporary residency in Farang's current home in Highbury & Islington. After excellent reviews, he took on the space permanently after his step-father retired and since, has gone from strength to strength. Farang was recently inducted into the National Restaurant Awards top 100 and awarded a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand, which we have kept four years running. We also received the Thai select award from the UK Thai Embassy which certifies authenticity and the freshness of our ingredients. We’re a young team of enthusiastic individuals, who over the last few years have bought our passion and skills to the table. Parties of six and larger, kindly contact the restaurant directly for reservations. These larger groups will be offered the shared feasting menu only and a deposit of £10 per head needs to be taken to confirm the booking, which will be deducted from your bill.

Looking out over one of London’s most famous landmarks, the flagship branch of Thai Square is a great choice for lunch or dinner near Trafalgar Square. Formerly the impressive Norwegian embassy, Thai Square is a seriously spacious venue full of traditional artefacts, heavy wooden doors and sprays of exotic flowers – perfect for laid-back lunches with friends and cosy romantic dinners. And when tourists invariably tumble in by chance, they are rewarded, as you will be, with excellent Thai cuisine. Thai Square’s authentic menu is full of familiar favourites like fiery tom yum soup, fragrant green chicken curry and chargrilled duck breast with tamarind sauce. Vegetarians are spoilt for choice with delicious dishes like aubergine and shiitake mushrooms stir-fried with sweet basil and garlic. At the weekend, the club downstairs is open until 3am – perfect for diners who want to dance the night away in style.

Sticky Mango on the south bank is close to all the great Southbank Centre venues. The food is fabulous, we had the scallops, the black pepper prawns and shared a very spicy salad for starters and followed up with the monk fish and the king prawn pad thai. Choosing what to have was the hardest part as I could so easily have chosen most of the menu. The service was good without being intrusive and the wines were excellent we started with a very reasonably priced glass of champagne and followed that with an excellent French white.

Warm welcome, 4 of us for lunch. There was a la carte and a set menu to choose from, but the set menu is only provided for the whole table. Luckily, the dishes on the set menu today were cashew nuts with chilli and lime leaves, a beautiful, crunchy salad, duck curry, excellent mixed vegetables in garlic and oyster sauce, plus sticky and jasmine rice. We paid a supplement for a whole sea bass, fried. Dessert was also included.
