We are located at south coast Bristol & MacArthur….The story all began in 2003 when Chef David started his culinary career. With over 15 years of experience culminating to being executive chef, Chef David and his family decided to finally open up their own restaurant, a dream the family had for years. Tacos Madre Mexican Cocina is the first concept that embodies "comida cacera," which translates "a home style of cooking". Opening the doors in November of 2021 in Costa Mesa, the restaurant was an instant neighborhood classic. With the success of Tacos Madre Mexican Cocina, the family decided to open up an upscale concept with a full bar program.     Birria was great, nachos were ok, guac subpar, and the prices weren’t terrible. Lot of focus on aesthetic of restaurant, could use some of that same detail on food quality. 7/10

    La Bamba is one of the best drinks I’ve had in such a long time, with the menu. Fresh tortilla chips with a great seasoning and amazing salsas Thankful, this place is just down the street from us. Though I miss blind pig, I love the twist that they took on the food here. Highly recommend it

    Great food, excellent service. The only thing that I wasn't crazy about were the TVs. If you are wanting to watch a sports event while you eat, you'll be pleased, but I was there with my family and couldn't get my kids to quit watching the TVs. Otherwise, everything was great! Really nice and welcome staff, and delicious food and drinks!

    No Happy Ending 😞Service was wonderful by Maria & Oscar who assisted with finding flowers and saving special table by the water for a special date. However, unfortunately the waiter didn’t seem to want to be there or just didn’t care. He was was clearly watching us but no water, no offer for expensive drink re-orders, the bill could have been doubled. ( I needed drinks for the lady 😉) No checking on us, and no desert! Said you were closing. It was around 7pm. I finally had to insist. He wasn’t too happy about that. My lady loves this place and patronizes very often. She was very unhappy & apologetic for waiters service. The food was great! Sea food enchiladas. Sat night 3/1 5pm.

    They were kind enough to put out chips instead of chicharones. The enchilada suiza was really yummy, and the margaritas were delicious too!
