We went to Angelo’s for a birthday dinner and had a group of about 10 people. It can be tricky to find a place that you can easily reserve that can handle 10 people, including kids, and have a menu extensive enough to make the kids happy while also giving the adults some unusual, tasty flavors. Angelo’s delivered on all accounts!

Our experience at Coopers Hawk in Morton Grove yesterday was wonderful. Two of us had a 5 pm reservation. We’re shown to our table within 5 minutes by a very pleasant hostess. Our server, Karen, was friendly and knowledgeable. She was also patient with us, since we took our time ordering. The food was delicious. We ordered the specials - the mushroom truffle flatbread for an appetizer. It’s so good that it should be on the menu permanently. For the main course we each had the squash ravioli with lobster and shrimp…so good. A carafe of the barrel reserve wine rounded out our meal beautifully. Love Coopers Hawk for the great consistency in their meals, the best wine variety at reasonable prices, and the excellent service they provide. Have been a member of the wine club for many years and highly recommend it.

The food was delicious. We had a great server. I loved my salad. It had beets and walnuts, and the nuts were extremely fresh. My sister is a vegetarian, and the server suggested a pasta with cheese, looked like spaghetti. It was so delicious. I tried a little bit of it. We also had an almond cake that was very good with bourbon maple gelato. Tasted kind of boozy we loved it ha ha ha.

We had a wonderful Day After Christmas dinner at the CG. It was a little less busy than usual, but the staff was wonderful and the food was excellent as usual. The restaurant is a little formal looking when you enter, but the feeling is warm and comfortable. Great place for a couple or a family - as in this case for us.
