My dining experience confirmed the reviews I carefully reviewed: the staff is friendly and attentive, the food is expertly prepared and absolutely delicious, and I enjoyed the ambience. I will be back and spreading the news!

Having lived in the South of Italy, I am picky in selecting New York restaurants: Da Rafaelle has become my go-to restaurant. How rare is it nowadays to see an owner (Rafaelle) cook himself and come out to greet his regulars. He combines southern Italian authenticity with consistent sophistication. My wife has many allergies and he is able to cook around those, and still produce excellence.

The meal was wonderful as always. I had the pasta special and it was delicious. My companion’s meal was also great. The desserts were scrumptious. The service was impeccable. The owner came out and greeted us. Always a fabulous experience.

A neighborhood gem, but also worth a trip from other areas. Warm atmosphere, delicious food and friendly and professional staff. Rafaele makes you feel welcome and is a delight. Make a reservation !

We brought two friends from the Upper East Side and they both said they loved Da Raffaele and will be back. Our favorite Italian restaurant in Midtown East.

When we walked in we were greeted like welcome guests. We specifically came to NYC to eat at great restaurant and DaRaffaele lived up to our expectations. We have eaten there many times before and we’ve never been disappointed. My friend and I had the pappardelle which was firm but not stiff and the sauce was magical. Another friend had the scallops capesante and she loved them. I was so full that I couldn’t finish my pistachio dessert but my friend finished mine and had her own chocolate mousse. We had amaretto sours as our cocktail and I don’t know how they do it but the cherry flavor in it is delicious. We had sambuccas for our after dinner drinks and they were so smooth and warm that it almost made me forget the winter weather. The waiter was attentive but not overbearing. I wish all restaurants were like DaRaffaele.
