   We have been to Deuxave several times and have been very pleased. I called them personally to let them know that out of the six of us,two were celebrating an 80th birthday. We were given a long table for six rather than the round for six. From there, the service was extremely slow and when asked about what kind of meat was with the chicken dish, the gentleman was told that it was a half a chicken, so that included light and dark. When it arrived, it was only the white meat. The gentleman that ordered it was interested in having some dark also as that was his favorite. The table was slow to be cleared and it took a long time for any dish to arrive. Another table of six came in after us and was served and out of there before us. I was disappointed and embarrassed as there were two couples taking the third couple out to celebrate the 80th birthdays. Both of us that were hosting had been there before and thought this would be a very special place to take them, as the birthday couple had never been there before.😪

   I don't believe I've ever given a 5-star before, but this restaurant was incredible at every level! The ambiance was perfect for a date night. The service was helpful and never rushed. The presentation of the food was top notch, and the taste of everything was incredible. It made for an incredible evening and I would definitely come back here again!

   I’ve been here so many times and it’s always across the board a 10/10 Food last night, 10/10 with the exception of seriously overcooked and close to inedible French fries. Oddly, service was off. Incredibly slow, 2 full hours before entrees arrived. Waiter continually disappearing, was way preoccupied chatting it up with hostess desk, friends or downstairs. Finally had to ask the bar tender to close out our check. Very unusual for this place. Still our fave.

   Went here for Valentine’s Day and had the 5 course tasting menu, no wine pairing. Sea Bass and Steak were both excellent. The meringue desert ice cream / sorbet with sponge cake was also fantastic. Overall, left satisfied with the food and service, but the restaurant is very overpriced.

   Just expected more for the price, food was ok. Could have gone to 3 Omakases for the price of the prefix menu w/wine paring. Place was busy for Vday, maybe we’ll try again another day, when they don’t need to churn out so many people. Service was very good, staff very pleasant and courteous.

   The food and presentation was excellent, though the portions were small. But it was the service that ruined the evening. First, the waiter took our orders but had no interest in coming to the table for other than that. Second the time between courses was much too long. Third, when there are four persons at the table, there should be two servers for the main dish. We had one. She brought out two entrees and the had to go back to the kitchen to get the other two, while the first two plates were getting cold. We will not be returning to Deuxave.

   Deuxave is a fabulous restaurant if you’re in the mood for something special. We recently tried their 5 course tasting menu and it was a wonderful culinary experience taking us on a journey through different cuisines. The staff are very attentive and knowledgeable about the food and wine. This was our second time there and we will definitely be back! This a special gem in Boston!

    This was our second visit to Deuxave in the last two months. The first trip was in celebration of our wedding anniversary where we enjoyed the 5 course tasting menu and wine pairing so much that we decided to treat our parents (who had never had the pleasure of such a dining experience). It was again, an outstanding dinner with top quality meal preparation accentuated by excellent service. We were delighted to share this truly special experience!
