M Sushi is triangles first dedicated sushi and seafood restaurant. We concentrate on raw and cold applications of fresh exotic seafood as well as cooked and vegetarian courses utilizing the same high quality ingredients. This is a restaurant that I keep coming back to. The food is amazing, cocktails are well thought out and the staff and management are brilliant. It is so well run and It is rare you get all of these together with great ambience.

In my over 10 years of having celiac disease I’ve never had a chef be so helpful and willing to accommodate my allergy. Not only were they super helpful and professional but the food was amazing.

approximately our 10-12th visit. An excellent, well paced meal on the (indoor) patio. "Jax" our waiter - was great, honestly, I am always impressed by the understated - he and the rest of the staff managed a busy evening with quiet panache. well done. plus he chased us down as we were leaving with our leftovers. The mussels were delicious (we should have asked for our baguette early to dip but next time!), The roast chicken and macaroni and cheese (shared - more than plenty for 2) was delicious. still our favorite in Durham!

Partners Matt Kelly and Josh “Skinny” DeCarolis are proud to offer Mothers & Sons, a trattoria in downtown Durham featuring regional Italian food with seasonal sensibility. DeCarolis introduces the first restaurant in the South to focus on fatta a mano —handmade pasta.
Mothers and Sons offers antipasti dishes such seasonal bruschettas or smoked octopus. Choose from primi dishes like the bucatini al amatriciana, squid ink tonnarelli or rigatoni alla norma and secondi dishes like the bistecca alla floretina and eggplant parmigiana. Dishes are made with seasonal ingredients so menus may change depending on when you visit. An extensive Italian wine list, dozens of amari as well as an imaginative cocktail list with an italian flair assures there will be a drink that will complement your meal perfectly.
