Nonna's Kitchen
With an environment that blends architectural and familial history with modern Tuscany styles, the warmth and welcome is as tangible as the delicious scents floating from the kitchen. Nonna's Kitchen is a multiple award winning and locally owned establishment operated by Tobias Steeves and his siblings. After taking over the the original owners in 2021 they have sought to elevate the experience even further by adding a full bar and focusing on quality handmade dishes and superb service. Tobias is also a world class bartender and mixologist who has placed nationally in numerous mixology competitions and personally curates our cocktail menus and spirits lists. When you stop in, you'll likely see a few of the family working in the restaurant (6 of the 8 kids in the family work here and keep Nonna's running well), and this is what Nonna's Kitchen is really about - when you dine with us, you are dining with family and friends!

Another great time at Nonna's in Spearfish! The food was solid, the cocktails outstanding, and the service excellent. The vibe was great, as always. It's a rare treat to find a place where the servers, staff, and cooks are all smiling and happy to be there!

Riccardo and Marybeth welcome you to their 3rd property, Maribella Ristorante. Opening R Wine Bar & Kitchen in 2018, and Vespa Catering and Brix Wine Bar in 2022, they have created a culture of hospitality for guests who feel like family. Riccardo was born in Florence, Italy and moved to Boston when he was 5-years-old. He stayed in the Boston area for college and attended Tufts University. Marybeth, born and raised in Sioux Falls, SD, moved to Boston to be a nanny and went to Somerville School of Nursing. The two met in Medford, MA, dated and became engaged in Oak Bluffs on Martha’s Vineyard in 1996. Relocating to Sioux Falls, SD in 1999, Riccardo and Marybeth have developed a reputation for making people feel welcome with their three boys, Dante, Berent, and Jaxon. Together with their hand-picked team, Riccardo and Marybeth bring the best parts of hospitality to life in their restaurants, for both their staff and guests. Riccardo was born in Florence, Italy and grew up in Boston, MA. Marybeth, a Sioux Falls native, ventured to the east coast as a nanny and then nursing school in Somerville, MA. The two met, fell in love, and became engaged on Martha’s Vineyard island. Moving back to Sioux Falls in 1999 and working at several area restaurants, they opened R Wine Bar in 2018. As owners of R Wine Bar, Riccardo and Marybeth are passionate about one thing: people. They believe that people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. When I was a child I grew up with my mother, grandmother and aunt. All of them were very good in the kitchen. They had different styles and they cooked every day. From ravioli, soup or patisserie, everything was made from scratch. Those ladies were my teachers. My first lesson was dishwashing, later it was helping as their assistant. To honor those amazing woman who helped me in my early days, I decided to open Tarquin to bring Sioux Falls our flavors, recipes and dishes. Tarquin is a piece of Buenos Aires in a remote corner of Sioux Falls commercial district. You are always going to be welcome here and we will always offer you our best.

The ambiance was excellent; we had reservations and were seated immediately. The server was right there, and the service was impeccable. The empanadas were excellent. I had the pasta, and my wife had a salmon dish. The ground beef cannoloni was OK, but the cheese and spinach cannoloni was excellent. I want to go back to try the beef selections. The wine selection was excellent

Excellent food! Steak was perfect! Ambiance is outstanding, i did not realize that deadwood had such a fine dining establishment. Prices were appropriate for the overall high quality food, service and experience. Will return!
