Dockside Bistro & Wine Bar was established in 2007 by Chef Laurie Nguyen. In October 2023, the restaurant was purchased by Chef Zach Caraway and Jade Adams. With over 15 years of culinary experience and training, Chef Zach is dedicated to presenting the culinary traditions of the Pacific Northwest while infusing innovative and unique culinary creations. The restaurant prides itself on using fresh, daily ingredients and regularly updating its seasonal appetizers and entrees.

In addition to its exceptional cuisine, Dockside Bistro offers an extensive selection of wines from around the world. The establishment takes pride in introducing patrons to new and exciting wines, spanning from the old world to the new world. Furthermore, Jade has curated a selection of seasonal cocktails using house-made syrups and freshly squeezed juices.Please join us for an exceptional dining experience in our warm, waterfront setting.

    Birthday dinner - we were greeted as we checked in and were asked who was celebrating. The booth we requested was available and we were seated immediately. A birthday card was on the table. Our server was welcoming, cheerful, and attentive and the food was delicious and beautifully presented. We were offered numerous options for our meal with truly personalized service. We have eaten here several times in the past, but were not always treated this well. The restaurant is under relatively new ownership and made this birthday dinner memorable. We will definitely be returning.

    I love this place. I had fish Tacos and my date had Brie sandwich, which she loved. I was a little surprised at the taco prep, the fish was in small cubes and appeared to be battered and fried. I've never had a fish taco prepared like that - it was good but would not order it again. I thought the menu said dressed with cabbage, but there was none found and it's my preferred green on fish tacos. So they weren't bad, but just not to my taste.

    Love Dockside. The food and staff are wonderful, and it is nicely proximate to one of my favorite wine shops, The Wine Loft. Great location in Olympia and sunsets are a beautiful backdrop for dining.

    Our food was inconsistent. Two of us had the same lamb special. The lamb on one of the meals was over cooked, the other was so under cooked it had to be sent back to the kitchen. The quality of the food experience didn't match the high prices of the meal.

    Excellent bread, hot and crunchy on outside, sparkling brut, for me, rack of lamb, perfect flavor, with potatoes and beans and dessert, molten chocolate and my husband across the table having black cod and just outside the window the moon shinning on the bay. The feeling and memories are still with me today.
