Named for frequent historical visits from Thomas Edison and his "Vagabonds" (Edison, Harvey Firestone and Henry Ford), EDISON serves NC craft beers, small batch bourbons, handcrafted cocktails, and regionally inspired food in a contemporary, fun, and artistic setting.

We are local and have spent a lot of time at GPI/Edison's over the last 13 years, especially during the holiday season. The menu is just perfect, the service is always top-notch, and the environment is warm and welcoming.

The view was fantastic. The food is very good but probably not as good as the prices indicate. We felt that because we did not order the $90 Christmas meal, we were not accorded the level of service other diners received. We wanted to order the French onion soup which was part of the Christmas menu and were told they “did not have enough” to permit that. I can only hope they had enough to feed the customers who did order the special menu.

Great view and service, especially since it was Christmas Eve, but the food is just meh, menu definitely reads better than it tastes, and the portions are small. And it’s expensive. We love the Grove Park Inn, but we’ll definitely skip this restaurant on our next visit.
