   Overall food was great, but service was extremely slow. One person in our party ordered a steak that was extremely over cooked. Everything else was good.

   The ambiance was good, the food was kind of meh, the service was quite slow, the drinks were also meh, which made the value not great for the money. Plus, at the end, the tip choices were 18, 25, or 30 percent. If you hit "custom tip" instead, it made you select a dollar amount which is pretty difficult to calculate when you don't have the bill I'm front of you and your server is standing right there. That left a bad taste in my mouth.

   Server left and never came back. After 45 min with no appetizers or drinks, went to the bar to get it myself. After 90 min we paid for the salad and awful ceviche that finally came. Never got our meals.

   What a pleasant surprise! Well in advance, we made reservations for a Christmas afternoon meal. The setting was absolutely wonderful at a middle Terrace with cool breezes and shade from the bright sun. The meal was delicious. The service was superior and we very much appreciated being able to celebrate our special holiday in San Juan at EL Asador!

   The worst experience ever. Room 45 min to place an order -over 2 hrs later NO FOOD They were over booked and under staffed and acted like nothing was wrong. We had a pregnant woman and a 2 yr old child -we had to leave without eat ing as there was no end in sight as to when it was going to arrive. Terrible service -can’t say the food was terrible because we never received it! Don’t go here!

   The food was passable and palatable but not a 4. In general, Puerto Rican comida heavily relies on frying to prepare food - chicken and fish. So we were excited for grilled fish with interesting approaches to preparation. The fish was overcooked and was not masked by the too much sauce poured over and top of it. The cesar salad was fine, too many croutons - but this is a personal food picadillo, I prefer less a higher ratio of leafy greens (romaine) to croutons. The croutons should be a accent, not a center piece of the dish. The service and ambience were perfect and reflected the character of and Old City. Lovely location, also. And the servers were exceptional and totally appreciated the fine craft of hospitality.

   We had a large party of 13 and we loved where we were seated. It was a quiet little nook with a nice breeze from the open passage. Our service was superior all the food and drinks were wonderful. As a travel agent I will definitely be recommending this restaurant to my clients when visiting Puerto Rico. Thank you!

    Rustic interior complements the deliciously fresh dishes—especially seafood inspired by local catch. We dined at 5pm on a quiet Tuesday in port and felt pampered by wait and bar staff at every moment. Try any of the grilled fish offerings with Creole style rice and beans or ask to have any of the pasta dishes tailored to the sauce of your choosing! Deliciousness!
