Depuis 1975, le restaurant El Compadre à Hollywood est l'un des points chauds en Californie du Sud pour la cuisine mexicaine et les boissons. Le restaurant possède l'allure et l'atmosphère d'une «hacienda du vieux monde». Agrémentée de tuiles d'argile, de lanternes de fer forgé et de lustres en verre teinté, la salle rend hommage à l'héritage mexicain avec des peintures, des antiquités et des vases de fleurs. La spécialité de la maison, ce sont les aliments les plus fins du Mexique. Il s'agit de recettes familiales transmises de génération en génération, qui utilisent des coupes de qualité, un vaste choix de fruits de mer et des légumes frais. We had an amazing dining experience at El Compadre! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Our waiter was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and quick to recommend some of their best dishes and drinks. Speaking of drinks, they were so much fun! Don’t miss the flaming margarita! Everything was perfectly crafted and added to the festive vibe of the evening. The food? Absolutely delicious. Every bite was packed with flavor, from the fresh guacamole to the perfectly seasoned tacos and enchiladas. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients and put a lot of care into their dishes. To top it all off, the prices were incredibly reasonable for the quality and portions. It’s rare to find a place where you get this level of service, taste, and value all in one. I can’t wait to go back when we visit LA again! Highly recommend El Compadre for a fantastic Mexican dining experience.

This place was great! The food is amazing! I had a flaming margarita and enchiladas with mole! The staff is great! I would come back here in a heartbeat, if I lived here!

Our waiter was phenomenal, the ambiance was excellent, the food was delicious and the mariachi band was the perfect accompaniment. Thank you for such a lovely evening

The food was good but the service was lacking. They were very busy although we arrived at 4:30. It took 2 requests to get utensils. Getting our check took awhile as we couldn’t find anyone to ask for it. I would come back as the food was good.

One of my favorite spots in LA! We're always treated well and I love the ambiance and food. Cannot reccomend enough.

The food is always pretty good here, but the service is always bad. You feel like they're trying to rush you out from the minute you sit down. The waiter comes to the table at least three times to try and get you to order within minutes of sitting down and then they're trying to take your plate away before you even finish. If you ask for any changes to your order, they give you attitude or simply say they can't do it. I asked if I could do a Chicken Fajita Burrito and the guy just said no. They have chicken fajitas and they have burritos, how hard would it be to make what I asked for. He could've at least checked with the kitchen or something, but he was just too put out by my request to even check. We asked for spicy salsa three times before they actually brought some. He kept coming back to take our order, but no salsa in sight. When we asked him the third time, he said, with attitude, "They're making it!" Then when they finally brought it, it was just the same salsa we already had, that they poured habanero sauce into. "They're making it"? Seriously? We get the sense that the manager/owner is why the waiters feel so pressed to turn your table, but the place is over priced and if we're going to spend our money there, we should have a good experience, with the food, the drinks and the time we spend having dinner with friends. We shouldn't have to keep telling the waiters and the bussers to leave us alone and let us enjoy our drinks, eat, and visit.

We come here when we want the OG vibe for Mexican food. Solid dishes. Love the flaming margaritas. Service is alway fast and food portions are huge. They have live music and they ambiance is straight out of the 70’s. Red booths, old paintings. Our favorite food is their cerviche appetizer enough for four people! Their fish dishes and fajitas are delish! We come with a few friends or a larger group and they always treat us right. Must make reservations on the weekends.

Great ambiance. Poor service.. bar understaff, 10 min to order a drink… restaurant service rude, when we said that we loved the life music singer… the waitress answered that she was OK…. What? So sad that the team is so negative. Food not up to expectations…. Lobsters enchiladas cold inside….
