We had breakfast there. The staff was slow and didn't keep track of coffee/beverages needs. The food was good but the salt and butter seemed affected by the elements of being outside. They need to keep better track of those items. The orange juice was very fresh and delicious.

The atmosphere was perfect and the food excellent. Great service. The live music is an added plus. Highly recommend Elaine's to everyone.

The Almost Dead Zombie Play was Zany,witty, silly/stupid, quick wit carefully directed puns, interactive and entertaining.

We recently dined on the porch at Elaine's. The entire time we were there, we saw the manager harassing the wait staff. Even worse, we waited for our food for over an hour. When we asked to speak to the manager about the delay, the manager did not come to our table. Instead, our waitress came to our table and told us that our order had been pushed behind the dinner theater orders. We waited a little longer and when no food or drink arrived, we paid and left without getting our dinners. Although the restaurant comped a few items on our bill, the fact remains that we had reservations, waited an hour and a half in total to eat, and then were left to wander around Cape May trying to find a meal for our family. We will not be back.

Our server was wonderful. Most of our groups meals were good. Cheese fries and onion soup were great. There were issues with 2 of our meals but the biggest turn off was when a woman who appeared to be in charge began yelling at the servers about putting down coasters when greeting the table. She came by and without saying a word to us, threw coasters down and grabbed our drinks and slammed them back down on the coasters. She went on to the next table and did the same thing grumbling about this is how you know a table has been greeted. We already had our appetizers. Clearly we had already been taken care of. So when our food came, we kept our mouths shut about the issues, we didn't want to engage with that woman or set her loose on the kitchen and our server.

Lovely evening on the porch with live music, great food and good service . We were dining on July 4th, a very busy night, but our family of 5 enjoyed a wonderful meal. Only drawback was lots of traffic with buses going by. We will definitely return.
