   Our first time here. Enjoyed the cauliflower appetizer, one of the fish specials & Siagon mixed grill. Our waiter, Steven, was vey attentive. Overall a good experience. We will be back!

   We eat at Elements several times a year and usually always enjoy it. Not so much this time. The wait time for drinks was nearly 20 minutes and the wait time for food was even longer. Our waitress said they were short-staffed and the bartender was doing double duty. That may have been true, but we saw the bartender spending a lot of time visiting tables and talking to diners vice making drinks. The food was good as usual, though sporadic in arriving. We also saw tables not cleared and cleaned well after diners had left. Not a great dining experience.

   We had a wonderful experience at Elements. Each of our selections for lunch was excellent A perfect place to celebrate our friends birthday. Looking forward to returning.

   Service was knowledgeable and attentive--she knew the menu well, including the spice levels of the different dishes. The ambiance was calm and quiet, it was easy to hear conversation and just a peaceful, simple, classy setting. I feel silly raving about a cauliflower appetizer, but it was a delight! Perfect seasoning and flavor. I would have eaten three of them as my dinner. I had the chow fun noodles, which was again perfectly seasoned with a lovely rich chili oil. My partner had the mixed grill and it was also delicious. Lizzy took great care of us. We never felt rushed and she was happy to make recommendations. This was out first time at Elements and we will be back.

   Even though short-staffed this Friday night, our waiter was attentive and helpful with menu selections. The fish stew and flounder were delicious as were the small plates. Would definitely like to return.

    Elements has been our "go to" restaurant in Chapel Hill for many years. Inventive and delicious food, great service, nice ambience and moderate noise level. Last night was a 180 turn around! We were seated in a side dining room that had 2 extra large tables. Our party of 6 was much smaller than the others. I think the waiter was over worked: Thus, our drink orders took too much time. And then the drinks came out at different times. 2 in our party waited 10 minutes for their drinks to arrive after the other already had their drinks. The order for food was delayed too. The food was very good as usual. The ambience in the large room was much less warm when compared to the primary dining room I think Elements has expanded their dining room but under staffed the service and bar.
