I was really looking forward to this dinner for my husband and our anniversary. Service was terrible. We waited over 20 minutes for someone to come say hi to us. The lady who poured our water got in on my late and table and walked away. Bread and oysters were good. Our dinner didn’t arrive until after 8pm. Two hours later. My lamb rigatoni was so salty. If you are adding olives and pecorino you don’t need to add salt. I made my husband eat it and we didn’t finish it. We had originally wanted to order dessert but didn’t want to wait another hour. It was lack luster. Waste of money. Not worth it at all. Really upset about our anniversary dinner. The table next to us also were commenting that they had been siting for 2 hours, and they needed more than wine. If you can’t handle a full restaurant then don’t fill your tables and don’t over salt your food. Save your money! Apologized to my husband for the restaurant selection . Huge disappointment.

Even though the volume was high due to a private event, the service alone was worth the visit. Interesting craft cocktails and a well imagined and prepared meal make Ella’s a stand out @ the capital.

Great food but at times the service can get backed up. Be careful if your are on a tight schedule or make sure you get in and order before noon.

The staff were very attentive. The food was absolutely delicious. The drinks were yummy. However the noise level was very loud. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of food and service. Definitely worth every penny!

Wow!! Incredible service. Our server, Bogdan, was kind and thoughtful. He went above and beyond and made our anniversary celebration feel so special. And the FOOD! My mouth is watering just thinking about it. We got the Truffle Brioche, the Ricotta Gnocchi, the Fried Chicken, the Dungeness Crab Stuffed Halibut, and Vanilla Ice Cream. All were incredible and melted in our mouths. Highly recommend!

Our first visit to Ella Dining Room and Bar was nothing short of spectacular. We started with the truffle brioche, which set the tone for an outstanding meal. My wife had the salmon, which she said was the best she’s ever had, and I had the crab-filled halibut over greens—easily one of the best dishes I’ve ever tasted. We finished with an incredible piece of chocolate cake. The quality of the food, the service, and the atmosphere made for an exceptional evening. Not inexpensive, but absolutely worth it. We’ll definitely be back!

Highest quality, food, and service! A little pricey, so that’s an experience for once in a while for us. So glad we got the dessert menu and had the sticky bun with ice cream!

The service we experienced does not entice me back. Three of us arrived and were seated for our 12:15 p.m. reservation and were not given any service at our table, except for tap water, until 12:40 p.m. We all ordered sandwiches, the oyster app, and one cocktail each. The cocktails were delicious, as was the food. Unfortunately the drinks did not come out until 1:05 p.m. (nearly an hour since we sat down) and the food did not come out until 1:50 p.m. (over an hour and a half since we sat down). We were not asked if we wanted additional drinks and the only person who served us between 1:05 and 1:50 p.m. was the gentleman with the water and our appetizer of oysters. Four other tables of 3 - 4 patrons each were seated, served, and cashed out before we were finished with our food. We were there to celebrate a birthday during the work day and, what was reasonably expected to be a maybe a 1.5 hour lunch turned in to a 2.5 hour lunch. I am unsure why, perhaps it was due to a busy afternoon or staffing, but we were never given notice of any delay. If you are to go or be taken here, I'd recommend you budget your time accordingly. They did ask us at the start if we were going to the show after our lunch and we honestly said no. I'm not sure if that changed how they served our table; regardless, I don't think it reasonable to expect a 2.5 hour lunch on a weekday. The oysters were great and I would get them again if I were to come again.

We had a great time. They sat us early. Our waiter Ken and bus boy were great! So was the manager or gentleman that seated us and gave us our bills. Food was wonderful. I had the crab sandwich and my girlfriends had the butter lettuce salad. They got us out in time for our show too!

Our wonderful server, Taylor, took excellent care of us! Delicious food and lovely ambiance! Lunch before a show at the Community Center and all patrons were served promptly and with very friendly service!
