   Great vibes however food took quite a while to come our, one burnt Yorkshire pud, dirty glass and awful cauliflower cheese later I don’t think we’ll be back anytime soon

   Had the most delicious meal - sharing plates and everything was excellent. Also great service from Tom, he was so enthusiastic about the food and generally made our evening lovely. Thank you!

   Visited Evelyn’s on a Sunday, the food was amazing and the staff were so lovely and helpful! The vegetarian roast option is the best vegetarian roast I’ve had in Manchester so far, and the staff were beyond helpful in accommodating for my nanna’s specific dietary requirements. I’d definitely recommend!

   Food wasn’t very warm. Beef was tough and barely any veg. Asked for dessert menu and was forgotten about . Never did get to see the desserts

   Lovely food and nice atmosphere. Did feel a little bit rushed for them to get our table for the next sitting (we were there less than an hour) and I know the table next to us felt the same.

   Really delicious and loads of vegetarian options. Service right level of helpful but not overbearing. Would highly recommend.

   It was my first time trying their roast but the third time coming to Evelyn's (previously brunch and dinner), and the experience was overall fantastic. The food was excellent; the ambience and decor was sublime; and the service, for the most part, was exceptional. In each occasion the waiter/ress were attentive and welcoming. That being said, I felt as though the occasion was spoiled towards the end of my roast lunch. We were understandably "rushed" of our table as another booking was due in 15 mins. However we were taken a back when the waitress asked loudly in front of the table "would you still want me to bring it [the surprise birthday cake] out", to which my friend discretely said yes. However what takes the cake (pun intended) was the fact she came out with the cake visible and unlit candles in their plastic cover??? This experience was bizarre and the only reasonable explanation I can think to have caused this was due to some miscommunication, but it was our understanding that the discrete nature of a birthday surprise was, forgive me for being blunt, commonsensical. Separately, the final receipt also came out with an extra drink that we did not receive (we ordered it but the livener was out that day so we opted to cancel) but thankfully we spotted it before paying.

   Been here before and decided to take my parents as I enjoyed it. Although I do understand it’s Sunday and it busy I think overall it was just a poor experience. Was a while wait for our food and drinks and we did mention this and it was immediately met with “they’ll be on their way” in a rather dismissive tone, and to be fair they did come back and say it had been quite a wait on our drinks and sorry about said wait, it was rather annoying to almost be made out to be being overly impatient in the initial mention of the wait. To add to that the food was no where near to what I’ve had in my previous visits, not awful, but not near to the high standard I know that these guys can be. A final note was that my mum was hit on the back of the head by a sever carrying a glass bottle. Now he did apologise but come on, we didn’t want to kick up a fuss but we very easily could’ve done, it really was a good hit, and a 2 second apology after the incident just does not suffice. Not sure I will be coming again after today experience unfortunately

    The staff were so lovely - food was great! Had to step out as was not feeling too well; but the staff came and checked on me even heated my food and topped it up with an extra Yorkshire pudding! So lovely - thank you for your service
