   An off night for the evening star. Food was average - usually love the brussel sprouts but they were overcooked and not crispy. Undersauced. And no scallops on the menu- one of my favorite dishes in the past. We’ll be back soon though - still good food, love the quirky ambiance and staff is always friendly and helpful.

   We had a very nice meal. Having not been to Evening Star in a few years, we thought we would give it another try and we were glad we did. The menu has changed, but there was still something for everyone and it was fun to be back.

   We love evening star and go there for comfort food and delightful environment when we can. A true neighborhood gem. But their bacon cornbread pound cake with dulce de leche was out of this world - truly a unique, memorable, and fantastic dessert! Highly recommend adding that to your meal.

   A very pleasant evening with good friends. Not crowded, so we were never rushed and could spend all the time we wanted. Good drinks. Meatloaf quite tasty, husband had smash burger and fries and the rest of us could not take our fingers out of his fries - exceptional! Good service. It has become a favorite restaurant.

   We have been to to dinner several times and enjoyed the service and meal but last night was by far the worst service and the meal was mediocre…we sat for over 20 mins Before the hostess not the waitress decided to ask if we would like to get anything to drink. Following that the waitress did not come to our table to take order until 45 mins. The food came out lukewarm warm. The only thing that was good was the olives!

   Hi Robin. I'm so sorry that you did not have a good experience. I reviewed OpenTable and the check details from Toast; OT showed you were seated at 7:39 and Toast shows the drink order was rung in at 7:47. Josh, our GM, took your drink order as we had two servers call out sick. Toast shows that Auribel entered the dinner order at 8:05, and that you paid your check at 8:47. I apologize it took the 10 minutes for your drinks; our goal is to greet tables within 3-5 minutes of sitting down. And I'm sorry Auribel did not introduce herself; she is normally very personable and friendly. The timeline for your dinner does not match up, but, regardless, I am very sorry you had an unpleasant experience.
