Le Fang est le restaurant partenaire du restaurant très populaire House of Nanking. Il sert une cuisine chinoise à la fois moderne et authentique dans un cadre raffiné, avec des spécialités traditionnelles, des dimsums ainsi que des plats « hors menu » innovants pour les plus aventureux. Subpar greasy food. Service was not great. Restaurant was not busy but they chose to drop a bin of dirty dishes next to our table. They gave us one glass per person for the water and the large beer we were splitting. Had to ask for glasses for the water. They brought us the main dish before the appetizer and without the side of rice. Not sure why any restaurant in a city like San Francisco would think that’s ok. We asked them to serve the dishes in the intended order: appetizer followed by main, alongside rice. Not unreasonable expectation. Ambiance was not fitting for a restaurant neighboring some of the top hotels in the city. Really bad experience.

This restaurant exceeded our expectations. We had pork belly bao buns and scallion noodles with beef. So delicious!

I was truly looking forward to having dinner at this authentic Chinese restaurant. We ordered several different apps and the food came out luke warm and each dish lacked favor. One of the 2 entrees had cold bok choy! Lastly the fried rice, which is usually a staple at Chinese restaurants, was so disappointing. Needless to say - we were crushed.

Service was not great. The server didn’t check on us and served us crab fried rice, instead of the chicken fried rice we ordered. The chicken tenders was the best of the four dishes we had. The Mongolian chicken dumplings were also decent, but not great. The broccoli had way too much sauce which made it our least favorite.

It’s always a great experience at Fang! A lot of times, if you’re bringing people who have never been, the owner will just take care of you. Giving you a selection of food that meets everyone’s dietary needs. Fantastic food!

Fabulous meal. We had a vegetarian in our party and we were looking over the menu and Me Fang said he would take care of us about what to eat. It was all so good. Fun table side sizzling fried rice.

After eating at House of Nanking many times, we dined at Fang tonight. It’s just as incredible as HONK! Everything was delicious! We started with White River Fish Soup with Wontons and Rice Noodles because we saw it being served to the table next to us. Oh my! It was the best soup I’ve ever eaten! The fish was melt-in-your-mouth tender and the flavor was divine. We also ordered an amazing broccoli dish with the most delicious sauce, Fang’s crispy honey chili short ribs with bok choy and Szechuan noodles La fun. Oh, and we got the tea with the flower that opens up. It was all just perfect! We will definitely be back.
