This high-energy bistro took over as Williamsburg's best restaurant as soon as it opened in 2003. The sophisticated but relaxed dining room has an open kitchen, which uses fresh, local ingredients for its creative American fare. Reservations for the dining room and the bar are recommended and may be made up to 2 months in advance. Open daily for dinner, a hostess is available during the day to take reservations by phone.

    We visit Williamsburg, VA every December. While there we always have dinner at Fat Canary twice. Both of our dining experiences were great!!! We look forward to going back.

    We had a wonderful dining experience. Haven’t been to Fat Canary in a few years and was as great as we remembered it being. Our waiter was awesome and the young man who took us to our seats snd took our coats was delightful. We will definitely eat there again on our next trip to Colonial Williamsburg.

    Food is good as always. Service was excellent as always. Noise level was horrendous as always. Some people believe they must be as loud as possible. No manners!
