Best Authentic Restaurants in Anchorage

Food was delicious and service was great. Drinks, apps and dinner were served in a reasonable time despite restaurant being very busy. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Somewhat noisy but not too bad and prices on the high side, but worth it as food was delicious and generous servings. Recommend the Bayou Dip!

We always love coming to Grassa Gramma. The ambience is amazing and unlike any restaurant in Louisville. Our server was very friendly and professional. He took the time to answer our questions on the wine selection and entrees. We chose the baked Imperial seafood. It was much different than the seafood bucatini we had our first time there. But it was well prepared and flavorful. Our guests chose the spaghetti and the lasagna entrees. The spaghetti and meatballs is one of our favorites here. The lasagna was good too but he felt it had little meat. The sauce was delicious and there was plenty of cheese. Our server suggested a really nice Cabernet and he was right. It was perfect. We look forward to our next experience here

Always perfect The crab cake appetizer was excellent and the pork chop was fantastic. Service ran flawlessly. Highly recommend.

We had a cocktail and then decided to eat in the bar area. The bartenders were friendly and informative. Our server/bartender, was Sapporo (sp?). She was great, and there when we needed her. We ordered the tuna won tons and lobster bisque to start. Both were delicious! I had the crab stuffed halibut and my wife had the torchio pasta. Both were tasty, and large portions. We received a nice size pour for the wines we ordered. The room had a nice buzz on a cold evening. Will definitely be back.
