With opulent interiors and a contemporary bar and eatery, we are proud to have become a hub for the local area. Join us for a great cup of coffee, a decent pint of beer, or a glass of chilled champagne. Take a seat at the bar facing the door if you want to see and be seen, or find a table in the garden room which opens out onto the terrace. The eatery is warm and welcoming with deep teal walls and splashes of rich mustard yellow offset by soft greys lit by twinkling chandeliers.     Always exceptional dining. The Sunday roast is unmatched to that of any others we have sought in search of the perfect roast. So much so that we recently visited the Heston Blumenthal’s establishment [The Hinds Head] in Bray for a Sunday roast, and whilst the lunch was faultless, we and accompanying friends believe it didn’t match that of the Gables.

    We were greeted as always with lots of smiles and a happy "Buona Sera" from Davide and all the team. Today we were celebrating my husband's birthday and were immediately spoilt with a glass of prosecco each to toast the occasion. We have our favourite dishes that we stick to but this evening we decided to try something new, so the birthday boy had Seppia Fritta followed by Vitello Tonnato and I had the Frittura (which I always have) but tried the Pesce Spada e Melenzane with casarecce pasta, which I might add was absolutely delicious and definitely worth recommending! My son had the spaghetti carbonara, followed by a juicy rib-eye and caprese cake for his dessert. It wouldn't be a birthday without a candle in the cannoli and a quick rendition of Tanti Auguri A Te Once again well done Marcus on a fabulous evening, if you have yet to visit, put it on your list and you won't be disappointed. It will become your new favourite restaurant, it's definitely ours!

    A menu to suit all tastes - food was good, disappointing that 2 of the 3 real ales were not available. We had a late Tuesday lunch, the restaurant was very quiet.
