Best Authentic Restaurants in Gipsy Hill

This is a lovely restaurant with delicious authentic Italian food. The staff are so kind and accommodating. I booked a lunch for my partner’s birthday and we were welcome with a hand written birthday card and got given profiteroles with candles at the end of our meal! A local gem in Crystal Palace :)

By far and away my favourite local restaurant. The service is always warm and friendly, whilst being precise and sensitive. The food is sublime, always. My partner is coeliac, and every effort was taken to ensure that as much of the menu as possible was available to her as well. Brilliant for a celebratory meal (it was my birthday), and brilliant for just about any other reason you can think of. Thank you!

Taverna Trastevere is a delightful neighbourhood gem. A lovely ambiance and welcoming staff, feels very authentically Roman without any artifice. The food is excellent, generous portions, rich and filling. We had a frito mixto selection to start, with their signature Carbonara and Amatriciana as pasta mains with a delicious side salad of chicory and anchovies. We will definitely be back.
