Best Authentic Restaurants in North Melbourne

Group of three for birthday dinner before a show at Princess theatre. Everything we had was fresh and tasty and just right. We recommend the sausage, cheese balls Greek salad, meatballs and for dessert orange filling pita and halva ice cream combo is to die for. Will recommend and go again. Only downside for me is the noise, there was felt running along the wall but the business should consider an acoustic treatment to the ceiling too.

Hidden down a cute laneway in an old motor garage is one of the very best Italian restaurants in the city ... actually, one of the best places to eat! Their Gnocco (atteptiser) is a fluffy savoury starter that never fails to get my guests to say "oh ... wow". Great sharing food (or don't share) and excellent wines (mostly Italian). Pastas are unique, the mains amazing. I visit regularly. Not cheap but certainly not over the top.

The Sunday Roast is always fanatastic, I had the ceasar salad which has gotten much better over the last few months with ample chicken and bacon, the staff are attentive as always, particularly the bar manager/hotel manager. Recommend it highly

A local favourite, food is excellent and great value. My favourite lebanese restaurant. It's nicer and open as part of errol's cafe, I loved the openness.
