The flavors were sublimely done and the meal expertly paired together. Everything - from the Olive Oil Martini to the uniqueness of the Arnabeet (who knew beets could make an engaging and enlightening tahini?) to the Lahm meatballs and the Mishwe tenderloins to the noble but Simple Rice Pudding for dessert - it was all a couple of lovebirds could ask for in a slightly delayed Valentine's Supper. It is one of the few new Nashville restaurants that I’ll return to. My husband travels to Mexico frequently and said it reminded him of food from Mexico City, authentic, well seasoned, just enough spice. Last night, my fiance and I finally made it to Yolan. As an industry professional, I can usually find one or two things to criticize, but Yolan was amazing. The service was welcoming and professional (Callie was our server and an absolute pleasure), the food was complex but approachable and delicious, and the venue itself was gorgeous. Overall, I’d have to say it was the best meal I’ve had in Nashville period.
