Best Authentic Restaurants in West Seattle/Alki

The food was good, as usual, but pricey. The server was exceptionally attentive and friendly. The restaurant website shows valet parking @ $8.00 but the parking lot charged $12 (plus tax) so this should be "fixed" so that customers have accurate information. There is a 5% service charge for minimum wage adjustment. This was not evident until we received the bill ... not that it would have changed our mind about dining here but some sort of footnote on the menu would have been appreciated.

We highly recommend Sushi Kashiba. The preparation and presentation are wonderful to experience.

Absolutely beautiful and delightful. Attended for Valentine’s Dinner with my Husband and loved every second of the time. The waiters were kind and genuine, the atmosphere was intimate and personal. The food was special and authentic. The attention to detail made the experience one to remember for an eternity. We would recommend this experience to any lovers looking for a romantic evening.

I had family here from California, and we arranged to meet at this restaurant, which I had been to once previously. I remembered that it was good, and also that it was near Seattle Center, and I had a hunch these two would want to poke around over there once our meal was done, so it was a perfect location. The service was warm and friendly, but never intrusive, and the food was divine. I ordered the "sweet stuff" French toast with caramel and strawberries; nobody else makes it like this, and it was mouthwatering! I also ordered (to go) some "soft scramble" eggs with asparagus and Dungeness crab. It's so hard to get real, fresh crab anymore, what with the overfishing, but my eggs had actual leg segments of crab in them, a perfect ratio of filling to egg. The eggs came with their amazing potatoes, and my husband and I had that dish, along with a small amount of leftovers from my French Toast, for dinner that night. This may be my favorite Seattle restaurant right now! The cherry on the sundae, so to speak, was that when we were finished, we sat and chatted and nobody seemed anxious to kick us out of our booth. Oh hell yes.

I travel from So. CAL & was craving some Mexican food; highly recommend this restaurant. The service was amazing it felt welcoming and warm during the festive weather. The food was delicious, I got the classic chilaquiles & barbacua. Also the Horchata Latte was delicious.
