Located in the Heart of Sonoma Valley, Loxton Cellars is a working winery surrounded by 5 acres of estate vineyard. It is the intent of owner/winemaker, Chris Loxton, to produce handcrafted wines, made without compromise, that show balance and a sense of place. Wine tastings (no food) are currently offered by reservation and take place outdoors allowing guests to enjoy a lineup of handcrafted wines while taking in breathtaking views of the Mayacamas mountain range. Tastings are $20/person, include a flight of 5 wines and offer a casual and educational experience. In the event of rain we do have you covered, but it can be a bit chilly this time of year so we suggest bringing layers. While we do not sell or serve food, you are welcome to bring snacks or lunch to enjoy in the picnic area.     Fantastic food every time we go. Living in the area, we can choose from many incredible restaurants but Bistro Jeanty is always our favorite. From the seasonal butternut squash and pear soup with blue cheese crema, to the apple brown sugar tart our meal was exquisite. As always the boeuf Bourguignon is French perfection served in a personal crock. Can’t recommend high enough.

    My new favorite in the Napa Valley. Fresh ingredients and excellent flavors. Service was outstanding. I had the soup vegetable with white beans and a dash of fresh pesto. The Caesar salad perfectly dressed. Had a side of polenta. Fantastic. Perfect dinner out.

    We have been to DG close to 20 times over the years and love this place. This time though it was different.. even better just because of one person who elevated the entire experience for us. He was generous with the bread and even packed some for my daughter who absolutely loves their bread and always says that she will never love a boy like she loves the bread you guys bake. Thank you Angus. You made our day special. Thank you again.

    Our server was wonderful! We were celebrating my boyfriend’s 12 years of sobriety and the team created a special menu saying “congratulations on 12 years!” At the top. Such a nice touch and very sweet of them. We will be back :)

    My wife and I went to dinner at this new restaurant in the center of St Helena to celebrate our 36th wedding anniversary. We started the evening with a cocktail and a variety of breads and bread sticks served with humus and olive oil. The waiters and hostess were nice and attentive, for example in helping us each pick a glass of wine to suit our individual palates and menu selections. We tried the Caesar salad, spinach and mushroom soup, the fresh pasta ravioli, a pork chop and finished with the chocolate souffle. I especially enjoyed the ravioli and the pork chop but as I said every course seemed perfect. The ambiance was set by the fine china, decor, and impressive art collection. The prices were reasonable, considering the super high quality of everything. I would definitely go back!!!
