- MMikeEssex •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoExceptional, again!. This was our second year visiting the weekend before Christmas for an early afternoon dinner. Every part of the meal was perfect. The staff were friendly, courteous and attentive. The restaurant fell warm and welcoming and not over crowded but best of all, the food was incredible. Cannot rate The Anchor highly enough and you can be sure we will be returning next year.!!More infoThe Anchor Inn - NaylandPrice: Moderate• British• Nayland•4.6

They apologised for the mix up gave us 2 bottles of Prosecco on the house and a discount on our meal. I thought this was very thoughtful and we appreciated the service we received nothing was too much trouble. As we only moved here last year and been here twice before it will deffinately be our local where eating out is concerned. - RRichardLondon •5 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoThis was my first but not last visit. It was Nutcracker themed afternoon tea. All tables were in themed booths, the deco was outstanding (says the art student) and gave a really great feel. Food was plentiful and really imaginative (think pigs in blanket hot dog in brioche canapé) and good quality. Music obvs was Nutcracker (think Dad would’ve ben disappointed not ELP) and loads of Xmas favs. Just a truly brilliant experienceMore infoMad Dogs & EnglishmenPrice: Expensive• Afternoon Tea• Leigh-On-Sea•4.8
- SSimonLondon •2 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoHad a wonderful time at The Ivy Canterbury. We arrived early but were seated immediately. The restaurant was busy but not too noisy and the decor and ambience was excellent. Our waitress Millie, was very friendly and quick to attend to our needs. Food and drinks were bought to us in a timely manner and the food was excellent (the Ivy Snowman quite something although I'd recommend to share). Despite the place being busy and a clear demand for tables, at no point did we feel rushed and after we finished our meal and settled the bill, we moved to the bar to have a few more drinks at our leisure where once again the mixologists were chatty and friendly and able to make a multitude of cocktails of our choosing without having to check how to make them. The food and drink were on the pricier side but you get what you pay for and the bill was not unreasonable for what we received. As a Canterbury resident, I think I have a new favourite restaurant/bar.More infoThe Ivy, CanterburyPrice: Moderate• British• Canterbury•4.3
